Shoeneman Ranch Strip, south of Roggen, Colorado, June 1989.
This is a picture, looking to the south, of the Shoeneman strip. In 1981, Joel Shoeneman flew a friend's plane from Reid International Airport, a gravel strip located on a friend's ranch, to the east. In the mid 1980s, Joel built a strip on his own ranch. His house and buildings are in the center of the picture. The road to the right runs south from Roggen, Colorado, a small town on I76, northeast of Denver.

This is a picture looking west showing the south end of the Shoeneman strip. His airplane, believed to be a Cessna Cardinal, is seen sitting between the strip and the north feed lot.
