The Dragonfly design involves a wing behind the canopy and a canard that is located below front cockpit area.

In this view of the right side of the Dragonfly, the curved slot for the canard is below the front of the cockpit area. Behind the cockpit, on the fuselage forward of the tail, is a hole where the wing will be fitted.

These are the left and right canards that will be connected to the plane with a follow-through spar to maintain stiffness. Only the canard has ailerons and flaps. The wing, that is mounted aft of the cockpit (not seen in this picture) has no control surfaces like ailerons and flaps. The black stick between the seats is the control stick. The button on top of it is pushed to talk to air traffic control facilities.

The engine compartment is at the bottom of the picture and above it is the forward section of the cockpit. Two rudder pedals can be see near the top of the picture for the left (pilot's) seat. The right seat does not have rudder pedals because the plane won't be used for pilot training and if a jittery passenger is in the right seat, there is no worry that he or she would affect the rudder.
