This is a 1932 Plymouth Town Car.
In 1932 Plymouth produced twelve models. The car had patented Floating Power to reduce engine vibration. The company
held a writing contest. The person who wrote the best 50-word description of Plymount Floating Power Ride would win
$50,000. The contest closed July 31, 1933. Entry blanks were available at any DeSoto, Dodge, or Chrysler
dealer.
This car was custom-ordered by the Roosevelt family. Wanting to be less conspicuous during the depression
years, the Plymouth was chosen instead of a Packard or Cadillac. This Plymouth was used by Eleanor Roosevelt
at the Warm Springs summer home.
