This 1941 62 Series model was introduced in September 1940. The Series 62 was added in this model year, and the LaSalle line was discontinued. For the first time since 1926, all models used the same engine: the 346 cubic inch V-8. This engine continued to be the engine installed in all Cadillacs through 1948. The Series 62 was the only series that offered a convertible.
