This is a rare Stella bicycle manufactured in Nantes, France. The company was founded in 1909 by the Fountineau family and named for the founder’s mother, Stella. It sponsored Louison Bobet, a French cyclist who won the Tour de France in 1953 and 1954 while riding Stella bicycles.

Generously donated to the Forney Museum in 2011 by Alan Minich.

The exhibit number is 599.
