This is an 1890 Milk Wagon.
Hungry people in the cities kept the delivery wagons busy from morning 'til night. Loads of fresh meat went to ships
for the butcher to cut into steaks and chops and roasts. Before daylight, the drivers of bakery wagons would hitch up
their horses and start out with loads of fresh bread and hot rolls. Ice wagons drove about the streets delivering big
chunks to fill the iceboxes. Fresh milk and cream were delivered early every morning by the clean, white dairy wagons.
The horses soon learned the routes and knew just where to stop.
