Launched in 1933, the sporty Mercedes Benz 380K was intended to bridge the gap between the six-cylinder engine model
290 and the massive 770 "Grosser" model. It was the first car of its type with fully independent suspension, wishbones
at the front and swing axles at the rear. The eight cylinder engine was directly derived from the model 290's and with
the familiar engageable supercharger.
At the time these photos were taken, the price was $2,750,000.
