This custom-built Cadillac El Dorado convertible was designed by the crew at ASA with lots of help from John D'Agostino.
Elmerado was named after the builder's father, "Elmer." It is a rare, chopped and sectioned, functioning
convertible.
The car was completely redone, front-to-back and top-to-bottom. It was built as a tribute to the late father, Elmer V.
Tompkins, of Val and Gar Tomkins, Brentwood, CA.
Bob Divine customized the interior using crocodile and leather, PPG seafoam and
teal pearl blends applied with a touch of liquid crystal. Elmerado was a feature car in Drive Magazine in Europe, and it
was also the feature car in Chromes Flamen - chrome flames. It was a custom show feature car at Sweden Autorama. It has
won many awards including best paint and best of show in Europe. It has won first place everywhere it
showed.
