Overland got its start in Terre Haute, Indiana in 1903 by Charles Minshall and Claude E. Cox. Cox had written a college
thesis about building an automobile from a motorized tricycle. The company manufactured automobiles from 1903 until
1939.
This 1922 Overland has been decorated in Beverly Hillbillies' style. It is semi-restored with a bench built onto the
back. It has no doors, left-hand steering, an odometer, and a trip meter. It has a four-cylinder engine that produces
27 horsepower, a 100 inch wheelbase, and 30 x 3 1/2 tires. The gas tank is in the front of the car, under the hood.
The original cost of the car was $595.
