The first Pontiac was sold in 1926 under the General Motors (GM) banner. It was a division of their Oakland Division
and it was the only companion car in the GM lineup ever to eclipse its parent, the Oakland, which was discontinued
during the Great Depression.
For the 1937 model year, the cars had one-piece, solid bodies. Front fenders with a split pear shape were added. The
engine is an L-head, inline six cylinder.
This cabriolet cost $945 when new and weighs 3,250 lbs. It sits on a 117 inch wheelbase, and it overall length is
193.06 inches with a height of 67 inches. The tire size is 6.00 x 16 inches.
