Swallows Return to Lakewood, Colorado
Edited by David Barth, 25 May 2014.
Each year, in mid-May, swallows return to Lakewood, Colorado. They can be seen cavorting over the cars at intersections such as Alameda and Wadsworth and Kipling and Colfax. They swoop between 3 and 30 feet above the streets. It is not known if they are just having fun, are eating insects, or going through a mating ritual.
