Foundries that manufacturer military-grade, radiation-hardened (rad-hard) ICs at the time of this writing were as follows:



  • Lattice Semiconductor Corp. (a manufacturer of FGPAs)
  • BAE Systems, Manassas, Virginia, USA
  • Honeywell, Plymouth, Minnisota, USA
  • IBM, East Fishkill, New York; Burlington, Vermont (these sites are primarily involved with research and development (R&D) for radiation-hardened chiplets. The concept is to design a certain number of tansistors into a chiplet that is several millimeters square, then, ultimately, combine the chiplets into an integrated circuit.
